KidREACH provides free one on one academic mentoring to students who face academic challenges and whose families are unable to provide the support they need. Students meet with their mentors each week on Tuesday afternoon.
KidREACH serves Newport Heights and Woodridge Elementary Schools. Students recommended by teachers or other staff are invited to apply.
Eligibility for the program:
- The student is struggling in one or more academic areas
- The family cannot provide all the necessary help
- The family would find it difficult to pay for tutoring services
Once a child is accepted into the program, s/he is paired with a mentor. All mentors are screened through a background check and must provide two references.
